The short story is on its way to the contest judges. Special thanks go out to Cheryl (the love of my life), Elizabeth, Kim and Cynthia for taking the time and reading it for me.

I’m both anxious and ambivalent. I hope I win and I think I put forth a decent effort. However, you never know. I could be up against the next Hemingway or something.

Ego: Maybe you’re the next Hemingway.
Me: As if!

Anyway, regardless of the outcome, I’m going to keep on writing. Another writing magazine that I subscribe to has a huge list of contests that I could enter. I’m thinking of finishing Apple’s Worm or maybe even reworking Give Them Rest and submitting them to get some feedback.

Maybe I need to join a writer’s group…
